Facial Impressions has been part of Avalon Beach since 1985 -- a skin health clinic combining advanced facial treatments, light-based technologies, naturopathic skin support and body therapies under one roof on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.
About the clinic
Facial Impressions was established in Avalon Beach in 1985 and has been owned by Kim for 25 years. The clinic sits at 4 and 6, 51 Old Barrenjoey Road -- two adjoining spaces that house the full range of skin health, beauty and wellness services offered under the Facial Impressions name.
What distinguishes Facial Impressions from a standard beauty salon is the clinical depth of the team and the breadth of treatments available in one place. Skin can be addressed topically through professional treatments, and from within through naturopathic consultation -- both under the same roof, with the same practitioner leading both conversations where appropriate.
The clinic uses professional-grade technology including HIFU, IPL and SHR light-based systems, LPG Endermologie, LED light therapy, and Sothys professional skincare. Every client receives a consultation before treatment to ensure the most appropriate approach is taken for their skin and health history.
Facial Impressions is a Sustainable Salon -- 95% of resources used during treatments are diverted from landfill through the Sustainable Salons programme. We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint as part of how we operate.
Naturopathic skin health
Kim's dual background as a qualified Clinical Naturopath and senior beauty therapist means Facial Impressions can address skin health from two directions simultaneously -- topically through professional treatments, and internally through naturopathic consultation.
Clients managing persistent or recurring skin concerns -- acne, sensitivity, hormonal skin changes, pigmentation -- can work with Kim to explore the internal factors that may be driving what they see on the surface. This conversation happens in the same clinic, often alongside their existing treatment programme.
Kim is a registered member of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS) and holds advanced diplomas in naturopathy, western herbal medicine and integrative natural health.

- Every new client receives a consultation before treatment -- please arrive 5 minutes early to complete your consultation card
- Your appointment time is protected -- late arrivals may be subject to a reduced treatment time
- Our therapists will assist you in selecting gift cards, products or packages
- Gift cards are valid for 36 months
Bookings & cancellations
Cancellation policy
A booking fee is required to secure your appointment. Cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment time, or failure to arrive, will result in forfeiture of the booking fee to cover costs incurred.
Cancellations made more than 24 hours in advance may be eligible for a refund at our discretion. Unused booking fees cannot be credited to other bookings.
To the extent permitted by law, any payment received when booking is a non-refundable booking fee.

Facial Impressions is a registered Sustainable Salon. 95% of resources used during your visit are diverted from landfill through the Sustainable Salons programme.
This includes foils, chemical waste, hair, paper and plastics -- all sorted and processed through dedicated recycling and recovery streams. It is one small part of how we try to operate responsibly as a business.
