Common questions

Most clients achieve significant, lasting reduction over a course of 6–8 sessions. Hair grows in cycles, and light-based treatments are only effective during the active growth phase — multiple sessions ensure all follicles are treated at the right time.
IPL produces a warm snapping sensation. SHR uses a gentler in-motion technique that most clients describe as more comfortable. Both are well-tolerated. Sensitivity varies by area — finer skin areas may feel more sensitive.
Traditional IPL is most effective on fair to medium skin with dark hair. If you have a darker complexion, SHR is the safer and more effective option — it's specifically designed to work across a wider range of skin tones.
Typically 3–6 weeks, depending on your individual hair growth cycle. With regular waxing over time, many clients notice that regrowth becomes finer and sparser.
For IPL and SHR: shave the area 24 hours before (do not wax or epilate). Avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks prior. For waxing: hair should be at least 5mm long. Avoid exfoliating 24 hours before.
Not at the same time — waxing removes the hair root that IPL needs to target. However, many clients wax between IPL courses, or use waxing while building up to their first IPL session. We'll advise you at your consultation.
