Skin needling has come a long way. The Pink Treatment takes the collagen-boosting benefits you'd expect and adds something remarkable — 56 active ingredients delivered directly into the skin. Here's everything you need to know.
If you've been curious about skin needling but weren't quite sure what it involved — or whether it was right for you — this is your guide. The Pink Treatment is one of our most-loved advanced facials at Facial Impressions, and it's a little different from the skin needling you may have read about elsewhere.
First, what is skin needling?
Traditional skin needling works by creating tiny micro-channels in the skin's surface. This gently prompts the skin's natural repair response — stimulating collagen and elastin, the proteins that keep skin firm, smooth and youthful. It's a well-established, effective approach to improving texture, tone and fine lines.
The Pink Treatment builds on that foundation — and then goes further.
What makes The Pink Treatment different
Two things set it apart: the device and the serum.
The device. Rather than a conventional solid-needle roller or stamp, The Pink Treatment uses the Turtlepin III 0.5mm — a medical-grade, single-use hollow-pin device. The key word is hollow. Instead of just creating channels and hoping your serum absorbs afterward, the Turtlepin delivers a specialised serum through the pins, directly into the skin, as it works. That means the active ingredients are deposited exactly where they're needed — from the lower epidermis to the upper dermis — rather than sitting on the surface.
The serum. This is the heart of the treatment. The Betterfill 56+ serum contains 56 active ingredients, carefully chosen to support skin health from multiple angles at once. Among them:
14 types of neuropeptides to support collagen and the skin's structural framework
Growth factors and stem cell culture extract to activate skin regeneration and strengthen the barrier
Hyaluronic acid for deep hydration and plumpness
17 essential amino acids — the building blocks of collagen and repair
10 multivitamins (C, E, A and B complex) for cell activation and skin immunity
Glutathione, a powerful antioxidant, for brightness and a more even tone
Rather than relying on injury alone to prompt a response, The Pink Treatment actively feeds the skin the ingredients it needs to repair, regenerate and hydrate.

The Pink Treatment is wonderfully versatile. It addresses:

What a session is like
At 0.5mm, the treatment works at a superficial depth with a gentle stamping motion, so no anaesthetic cream is required and most clients find it very comfortable. After your therapist has worked the serum into the skin, a bio-cellulose post-procedure mask is applied — immediately calming, soothing and hydrating, while the actives continue to absorb. You can add LED light therapy during this phase to further support healing, which is especially lovely for sensitive or reactive skin.
The whole experience takes around 45 minutes, and — true to Facial Impressions — it's as unhurried and considered as everything we do.
Is there downtime?
Very little. mild redness or sensitivity is the most common response and usually settles within a few hours. Most clients return to normal activities the same day. As always, daily SPF is essential afterwards, and your therapist will talk you through simple aftercare.
Is it right for me?
The Pink Treatment is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive, dry and post-procedure skin. It also works beautifully alongside your other treatments — Sothys facials, IPL, LED and more — as part of a broader skin plan. Why a course works best
A single session gives you an immediate glow — but The Pink Treatment is designed to work progressively. The recommended course is six sessions over four months:
Phase 1 (weeks 1–6): three treatments, one to two weeks apart, to establish the response
Phase 2 (months 2–4): three treatments monthly, to consolidate and deepen results
Then: a maintenance session every three to six months to keep your skin at its best
Committing to the full course is where the real, lasting transformation happens — which is why it's well worth doing properly.
